So Close That Thomas Lurz Wins After 45 Minutes

The FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup race in Cancun, Mexico was so close that even the video-tape of the finish had to be reviewed repeatedly for 45 minutes until the judges finally came to a general consensus…that multiple-time world champion Thomas Lurz came out on top.

This close race is only a precursor to what may happen at the Olympic 10km Marathon Swim in the Serpentine in London on August 10th.

And it is certainly a good bet to count on Lurz to be involved in the scrum at the finish.
