It is natural and expected for world-class swimmers like Lynne Cox and Penny Palfrey to be on the highest echelon of the Oceans Seven list.

But it is equally unlikely and unexpected for rugby players like Stephen Redmond and ballerinas like Kim Chambers to be at this same level.

Chambers has steadily climbed the Oceans Seven rankings and is within a one long swim at 12°C of becoming the sixth person to complete it.

She stands prepared to learn if she goes within 24 or 48 hours with fellow Ocean Sevens swimmer Darren Miller as part of her crew. Stephen Redmond himself may also reportedly be part of her crew.
