Stephen Junk Discusses His Swimming Life On WOWSA LiveSponsored by KAATSU Global, Huntington Beach, California.
Embryologist Stephen Junk lives on vineyard and a farm on one side and his home training venue of Greens Pool in Denmark, Western Australia on the other side. He has been swimming for much of his life from his early days as a 200m butterfly specialist. But he really picked up speed as an ocean goer in his late 30s.
Now in sixth decade, Junk has completed many marathon and channel swims around the world including many times across the Rottnest Channel as well as the English Channel, Strait of Gibraltar, Cook Strait in New Zealand, Catalina Channel in California, Tsugaru Channel in Japan, Molokai Channel in Hawaii, Strait of Magellan in Chile, and Lake Taupo in New Zealand. He shared his successes, DNFs and career aiming towards the Oceans Seven on today’s WOWSA Live with Steven Munatones and Antonio Argüelles.
