Steve Faulkner Is L.O.S.T. In New York

NYC Swim announced the recipients of its Hudsie Awards for 2012. The Hudsies recognize individuals who complete the most number of events, both annually and historically, as well as the Rookies of the Year.

Steve Faulkner, a member of the Lake Ontario Swim Team (L.O.S.T.) from Ontario, Canada competed in the most (maximum) number of events in 2012: 8 times he crossed the border to swim in New York City.

Capri Djatiasmoro, Wade Lambert, and Zachary Chang were also recognized for their participation in 6 NYC Swim events.

Sri Krishna Kilrau, George Glum, and Yusuf Osmani were recognized as Rookies of the Year.

The trio are off to an excellent start, but they will have to continue the torrid pace to catch up to veterans of the NYC Swim community who were similarly recognized: John Sullivan (49 lifetime events), Kenneth Thompson (43), Kenn Lichtenwalter (41), Christopher Stephens and Ellen Weinberg (40), Maddalena Mustillo(32), Tom Malcolm, Jonathan Wells, Gilles Chalandon, Capri Djatiasmoro, and Bernard Ehrhardt (30), Bruce Goldberg (29), Lawrence Regan and Lori Carena (28), and Michael Kaufmann (26) continue to set the bar in the open water community around Manhattan Island.
