Şükran Tipi Puts Her Stamp On Traversée du lac St-Jean

A linguist by training, she is on the Traversée‘s Welcoming Committee that helps host these types of international open water swimming competitions. With a fluency in Turkish, English, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Turkish, and the Innu language, Sükran is indispensible.
She can help athletes, host families from all over the world communicate and be accommodated by the Traversée international du lac St-Jean. She also assists with the Traversée‘s online social media and does everything from greeting and translating for athletes at social functions to stamping black ink on their hands, shoulders, and backs on the morning of the race.
“The volunteers of the Welcoming Committee provide solutions to spontaneous problems,” explains Sükran with her usual smile. “We are there for the athletes, coaches, visitors, and everyone involved.”
Unswervingly unselfish ubiquitously.
