The Sun Shines In Shanghai

Sun Yang broke the oldest pool swimming records in the books, but his unbelievable technique is something to admire. While some pool coaches may find areas to complain about, we can’t imagine swimming nearly perfectly straight in the open water with Sun’s overall body, kick and arm stroke balance. He also mentioned staying relaxed and working within his own rhythm during the race; something that the open water swimming superstars do extraordinarily well. An analysis of Sun’s stroke is here by SwimSmooth. Copyright © 2008 – 2011 by World Open Water Swimming Association
