Superior Nutrition for Superior Performance In The Open Water

While he has actually increased his caloric intake to 4,500 calories per day from 3,000 calories per day, he has significantly changed his body composition – from over 20% body fat to 7.5% body fat – and has become a better prepared swimmer and cyclist without any change in his physical training.
His improvements and success is entirely coming through nutrition. He explains these secrets in a special Open Water Swimming webinar on Monday, November 14th at 10 am Los Angeles time, 1 pm New York time, 5 pm GMT.
Dr. Attia is a former surgeon, engineer and McKinsey & Company consultant. He received his medical degree from Stanford University and holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He did his surgical training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and a fellowship in surgical oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.
But his primary interest is in nutrition and its impact on body composition, health and sports performance.
Dr. Attia has done a number of relay and solo marathon swims, including crossings of the Catalina Channel in both directions, the first double crossing of the Maui Chanel and the first relay crossing from Santa Barbara Island to the California mainland.
His insights, experiments and recommendations will certainly spur your imagination and interest in replicating what he has discovered. Online registration to this cutting edge lecture, especially relevant to marathon swimmers, will open on November 4th.
