Swim From The Heart In Haifa
Courtesy of Ori Sela, Haifa, Israel.
Last week, Ori Sela organized an open water swim pod of swimmers who formed a heart. “It was amazing. Rambam hospital with Professor Beyar and top cardiologists from San Francisco and Canada are trying to raise money to find a cure to sudden cardiac death.
Some people die because they smoke or eat fat, but what if it is an open water swimmer Or a kid? (see here for Guy Coen telling his story.
Swimmers all over Israel came to try to swim in a heart. The pace had to be very slow, but the water was cold. We knew we had to have at least 200 meter of a swim.
At the end we succeeded and didn’t freeze.”
