Only 50 swimmers will be accepted to compete in the Super Six, a 6-mile race around the Serpentine in London at the 2022 Swim Serpentine on September 17th.
Registration open in late April for the following events:
- Half mile: an entry-level event for open water swimming newbies
- One mile: one full lap of the Serpentine
- Two mile: two full laps of the Serpentine
- Super Six: limited to 50 people to swim six miles around the Serpentine
In last year’s event, more than 5,000 people took part including Hollywood star Minnie Driver.
“Swim Serpentine is an amazing event, which is growing in popularity each year, just as open water swimming is,” said Alison Hamlett of London Marathon Events.“More and more people are experiencing the unique feeling of swimming in open water and the physical and mental health benefits it brings. Swimming in such an iconic location as the Serpentine is something you’ll never forget.”
