Open water swimmers and Olympic medalists Haley Anderson, Rebecca Soni, and Oussama Melloli are volunteering their time at the 36th Annual Swim With Mike charity event today at the University of Southern California’s Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
USC Head Coach Dave Salo will run the masters swimming workout which will start at 8 am. At 9:00 am, swim clinics run by the Olympians – including Lenny Krazelberg, Janet Evans, John Naber, and Bruce Furniss.
Event director Kaia Hedlund explains, “Swimmers of all ages can support Swim With Mike and the Physically Challenged Athletes Scholarship Fund while having a great time, learn from Olympians, and have a chance to win some incredible prizes. There will be a silent auction, barbeque, dive show, biggest splash contest, relays, live entertainment. Swimmers who raise US$100 or more will receive a NIKE backpack full of awesome goodies as well as many other great incentive gifts.”
