Swimming And Saving The Caretta Carettas

The International Likya Dalyan Open Water Swim is a 2.1 km open water competition held on İztuzu Beach in Dalyan, Muğla City, Turkey on April 17th.

İztuzu Beach is Turkey’s first private environmental protection area and is part of the Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area. İztuzu is one of the main ovulation sites of the Caretta Caretta (loggerhead sea turtles).

The theme of our event is Swimming With The Caretta Carettas,” explains organizer Hakan Evrensel whose event slogan is Save the Carettas / Swim With Us.
