Swimming Down The Mississippi Has A Certain Ring To It
Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California.
Chris Ring set off on the Swim For Their Sacrifice on June 6th.
His goal?
To swim 2,552 miles (4,107 km) down the entire length of the Mississippi River from its northern reaches in the state of Minnesota down to its estuary in the Gulf of Mexico.
This charity swim is being conducted on behalf of Legacies Alive and is planned to be a bit longer than Martin Strel‘s pioneering 2,414-mile (3,885 km) stage swim down the Mississippi in 2002 in 68 days.
The result? See here.
