Ingemar Patiño Macarine added to his growing channel swimming resume with another celebrated swim in the Philippines.

The Pinoy Aquaman became the first person to cross Sarangani Bay, finishing the 12.95 km swim in 5 hours 55 minutes. He told the Filipino media, “The swim was quite tough, the current was changing 16 times but I braved it [from Maasim to Glan in the province of Sarangani].”

The environmental lawyer encountered the big and small of the marine world.

He met a whale and lots of jellyfish. “I wasn’t bothered by the whale, but I was surprised. What bothers me most was the stinging jellyfish.”

He did what many others have done relay-style. The Swim across Sarangani Bay is a 15 km 5-member relay that is held every May.
