Ned Denison, chairperson of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, announced Steven Muñatones was selected as the sixth recipient of the Dale Petranech Award for Services to the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF).
This award - named after long-time IMSHOF chairperson and International Swimming Hall of Fame
Dale Petranech left an unparalleled legacy of unselfishness and dedication to the sport of open water swimming.
IMSHOF honorees who passed away during 2020 included Ersin Aydin (Turkey), Cor de Bruin (Netherlands), Dennis Miller (Fiji), George Park (Canada), Dale Petranech (USA), Tom Watch (Great Britain), and Barry Watson (Great Britain)
