Kathryn Mason was not slated as one of the favorites going into the Irish Long Distance Championship 17 km & The National Championship 17 km (Swim Ireland) in Lough Erne, but she gave an excellent performance nevertheless. The longest open water swim on the Irish calendar got longer...to 26.4 km as a test. Swimming through volatile thunderstorms under the
