Sit On Seaweed, Sustainable From The Sea
Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California. Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts graduate students Jonas Edvard and Nikolaj Steenfatt take fucus seaweed, a type of algae, from the Danish coastline and create chairs and lamps with it. They dry and grind the seaweed into a powder. Then cook it into a glue, using the natural polymer in the brown algae.
