Taking The Lead - From Coast To Coast At USA Swimming

Taking The Lead – From Coast To Coast At USA Swimming

USA Swimming is looking for a good (wo)man.

As a result of some major changes in Colorado Springs, USA Swimming created a new position at its headquarters and is hiring an Open Water Program Manager who will report directly to new National Team Director Frank Busch.

The new Open Water Program Manager will plan and coordinate all aspects of the open water program for the USA Swimming. The individual will serve as lead manager responsible for interfacing with the Open Water Consultant, National Team Director, volunteers, coaches and athletes, will manage the implementation of open water programs and services, and will support Open Water National Team coaches and athletes by providing information and services in order to help them make decisions that are critical to their safety and optimal performance.

The qualifications of the position are posted here and resumes can be emailed Lindsay Mintenko.

In such a large country with two long coasts, nearly 1000 open water swims of various distances and over 310,000 USA Swimming members, the applicant will travel extensively (50% of the time on the road) and will help forge the course going forward. The model has worked well in Great Britain, Australia, Italy, Russia, Germany and Brazil among other countries, so time is right for the USA.
