Tara Diversi, an Assistant Professor at Australia’s Bond University in Sports Nutrition, has worked with a number of marathon swimmers to assist with their open water swimming nutrition and hydration.

Currently, Professor Diversi has one open survey, a study looking at aspiring solo English Channel swimmers. “If a swimmer is attempting the English Channel in 2014 or 2015, your participation in this survey can assist in growing the sports science knowledge in our sport.”

The link to the survey is here.

Professor Diversi has done an English Channel solo swim (9 hours 45 minutes), an English Channel relay swim (12 hours 51 minutes), a 28 km marathon swim from Palm Beach to Manly in Sydney’s Northern Beaches (7 hours 15 minutes), a Rottnest Channel Swim (5 hours 24 minutes), and a crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar (3 hours 34 minutes).
