“The clinic is a fund-raising event to help develop the next generation of distance swimmers,” explains coach Dave Kelsheimer who was the 2015 recipient of the Glen S. Hummer Award and coached world 10 km champion Jordan Wilimovsky. “We want the next generation of athletes to be equally fast in both the pool and open water.”
The 2-day clinic will include: * a 45-minute seminar with 2016 Olympic coach Dave Kelsheimer on nutrition, season planning and preparation, training * a 45-minute swim with international open water swimming championships that covers swim technique, open water sighting and turn techniques * a 30-minutes talk with world-class coaches and athletes
