Alex Meyer knows how to come back. He came back from a broken clavicle to finish a gutsy tenth at the 2012 London Olympic Games 10 km marathon swim. He came back from deep within the pack to win his previous USA Swimming National 10 km Open Water Swimming Championship titles. And he is now back at Castaic Lake to defend his 10 km title at the 2014 USA Swimming Championships tomorrow morning as the prohibitive favorite.

Along with fellow 2012 Olympian Haley Anderson, Meyer will headline the list of open water stars at Castaic Lake. The races will undoubtedly come down to the final few strokes and can be seen live on the USA Swimming website starting at 8 am Los Angeles time.
