Over 800 Hong Kong school children, teachers and volunteers from 14 schools formed a massive kid-designed dolphin on the beach. Protect Our Ocean (保護海洋) was the theme of their effort.
The day’s activities began with a program kick-off on Repulse Bay Beach, one of Hong Kong’s cleanest, with a beach class focused on appreciation, respect and care for the sea. The children then created the massive image of a Chinese White Dolphin, originally drawn by 9-year-old Leung Man Hin.
They collectively formed a giant human design in the sand. The aerial art event gave students the inspiration that their voices and actions can make a difference by visually communicating their wishes to others around the world.
