The U.S. Masters Swimming announced it 2014 schedule of open water swimming national championship events.

The events take place all over the country from shore to shore including the West Coast (California and Oregon), South (Tennessee), Midwest (Minnesota) and East Coast (New York).

From 1 mile to 10, the 2014 schedule has something for everyone:

1-Mile Open Water Swimming Championship
Distance: 1 mile
Date: June 7th 2014
Hosts: Davis Aquatic Masters
Location: Lake Berryessa, Napa County, California
Course: 1-mile course

2-Mile Cable National Championship
Distance: 2 miles
Date: August 16th 2014
Hosts: Adirondack Masters
Location: Mirror Lake in Lake Placid, New York
Course: Cable course

1-3 Mile Open Water Swimming Championship
Distance: 2.4 miles
Date: May 17th 2014
Hosts: Chattanooga Open Water Swimmers, Outdoor Chattanooga and the River Rats Masters
Location: Tennessee River along the downtown Chattanooga waterfront, Tennessee
Course: 1.2-mile loop course

3-6 Mile Open Water Swimming Championship
Distance: 5 km (3.1 miles)
Date: August 3rd 2014
Hosts: Central Oregon Masters Aquatics
Location: Elk Lake, Bend, Oregon at the 20th Cascade Lakes Swim Series & Festival
Course: out-and-back course

6-9 Mile Open Water Swimming Championship
Distance: 10 km (6.2 miles)
