The Pinoy Aquaman Completes Cebu Channel Crossing

Ingemar Patiño Macarine, nicknamed the Pinoy Aquaman, added to his growing channel swimming resume today in San Remigio, Cebu, Philippines.
He walked onshore after swimming 17 km (straight-line tangent distance and 19.9 km of actual rough water swimming) in 7 hours 45 minutes across the Cebu Channel from Santa Fe in Bantayan Island to San Remegio in northern Cebu.
“The swim is to promote climate change awareness and tourism in San Remigio, Cebu,” said the 38-year-old endurance athlete and ocean advocate.
