The Richest Masters Open Water Swim In The World
In addition to the prizes given to the younger athletes in the BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series Open Water Challenge and the winners in the 17 years and under division in the 500m, 1.25 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km races, there were a number of cash winners in the richest masters open water swimming competitions in the world (shown below). “It’s such a beautiful day with nice conditions and it’s really just a good day for a swim,” Melissa Gorman said yesterday.
“It’s great to see events like this and encouraging people, whether they are elite or not, to get involved in open water swimming. It’s such a great sport and it’s growing around the world.”
