The search for lost swimmer Tristan Dennis, who went missing during the 42nd aQuellé Midmar Mile in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa on Saturday, resumed on both Sunday and today, but he has not yet been found.

The search, led by the South Africa Police Services Search and Rescue team under Lt Jack Haskins, continued throughout Sunday until light and weather conditions put a halt to the operation.

Navy divers, supported by SAPS divers, searched a spot on the dam identified by sniffer dogs from the SAPS K9 division. But in previous cases of missing swimmers in the Midmar Dam, it has usually taken a few days to find the swimmer.
