The Will And Skill Of Open Water Swimmers

The Will And Skill Of Open Water Swimmers

Muhammad Ali once said, “Champions are made from something they have from deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision. They have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.”

We have seen that will and those skills time and time again from athletes of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in the open water venues of the world.

Sometimes a podium place is not in the cards, but that drive of open water swimmers is clearly build upon a deeply-embedded will enhanced by physical and mental skills. It comes from within and easy to see from inside and out.
