The 44-year-old Deeken enjoyed a busy week in the 3.0°C water and 1.5°C air, competing in and winning 7 events total in the disabled category.
In addition to her 500m freestyle victory, she won the 250m freestyle finishing in 4:09:78, the 100m freestyle winning in 1:28:72, the 100m breaststroke finishing in 1:57:79, the 50m freestyle finishing in 40:81, the 50m breaststroke finishing in 56:42, and the 50m backstroke finishing in 49:99.
