Tonic Immobility In The Open Water

The National Geographic Channel‘s Nature Untamed program showed a program on how Orcas occasionally interact with sharks.

To prey upon the shark and other kinds of marine life, the Orca has learned how to immobilize it by turning it on its back – a state called ‘tonic immobility.’
