
Traversée du Lac Tremblant: A World-Class Open Water Swimming Event in Lac Tremblant, Quebec, Canada
The Traversée du Lac Tremblant swim event is back for its 4th edition from August 3-5 (Swim camp) and August 6 (distances/races) in the stunning natural setting of Lac Tremblant, Canada. Since its launch in 2018, this event has become a highlight for swimmers from around the world who are seeking a unique and inclusive experience in open water swimming.
The event offers distances for swimmers of all levels, from beginners to experts, including 1km, 2km, 3km, 5km, 10km, and the 15km ULTRASWIM and TEAM 15km (relays). The Traversée du Lac Tremblant swim event is more than just a swim, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience that takes place in the heart of the Laurentians region, surrounded by the Mont-Tremblant National Park and the Tremblant village, a world-renowned destination for outdoor activities and adventures.
The Swim Camp of La Traversée du Lac Tremblant is a unique opportunity for beginners to approach their first open water swimming event in safe conditions, with the advice of experienced coaches. The event offers discounted rates for kids (11-17 years) to encourage youth to discover open water swimming.
The natural beauty of Lac Tremblant adds to the event’s appeal, offering clear and soft water at a temperature of around 22 degrees in August. The lake is surrounded by the Mont-Tremblant National Park, a protected territory of 1,500 km2 and 400 lakes, and the Tremblant village, with its many accommodation options, restaurants, boutiques, spas, and casino.




Safety is a top priority for the Traversée du Lac Tremblant swim event. More than 60 lifeguards will be on the water to look after the swimmers, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
“We are thrilled to be hosting the Traversée du Lac Tremblant swim event for the 5th year and welcoming swimmers from around the world to our beautiful region,” said the event organizers. “We believe that open water swimming is an experience with nature and with yourself, and it’s never too late to start.
