Triple Toast To Ernie Hoftyzer
Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California. Ernie Hoftyzer is a 46-year-old American from Davis, California. After his English Channel crossing of 11 hours 49 minutes, he became the 129th person to successfully complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
He completed a crossing of the Catalina Channel in 9 hours 36 minutes in 2012, the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 8 hours 9 minutes in 2014, and finally the English Channel on July 26th 2016 [where he is shown above].

Southern California native, born 1962, is the creator of the WOWSA Awards, Oceans Seven, Openwaterpedia, Citrus Corps, World Open Water Swimming Association, Daily News of Open Water Swimming, Global Open Water Swimming Conference.
