Twins Chris And Matt Hales Create Goggles for Guppies
Courtesy of WOWSA, Mission Viejo, California.12-year old twin brothers Chris and Matt Hales swim for the Mission Viejo Nadadores in Southern California. Motivated after seeing the plight of disadvantaged children during an international swim meet in Mexico, the twin competitive swimmers took matters into their young hands.
After learning the statistics of drowning deaths of underprivileged children in their own country, they decided to do something about it.
Knowing that more children would learn how to swim if they could afford swim gear, Chris and Matt established Goggles for Guppies as a means for manufacturers, distributors, retailers and individual swimmers to donate excess inventory and outgrown equipment for their cause.
With products that sit in inventories or closets, Chris and Matt are on their way to help established learn-to-swim programs around the country that teach basic swimming skills to disadvantaged and special needs children.
Goggles for Guppies is a web-based clearinghouse to facilitate the donation of new and like-new goggles, caps, fins, kick boards, buoys, snorkels, suits, gear bags, and whatever can be useful to learn-to-swim programs for disadvantaged and special needs children. Beneficiaries include the American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA, and inner city programs throughout America.
It seems two heads are always better than one.
