The La Isla Open Water Swimming Marathon in Querétaro is held at the Zimapán Dam. Located on the border between Querétaro and Hidalgo, this immense body of water is ideal for practicing water sports. 

​The only 20k and 30k competition in México. We create an inclusive event, inviting beginners to participate in shorts distances in the same event. It is our way of inspiring swimmers to apply themselves to new long distance challenges.

The event attracts about 30 swimmers in the 20k and 30k distances. And 300 swimmers in the other distances.
In the next 5 years, we hope to attract 100 swimmers in 20k and 30k distances and double the number of total competitors.

For the elite races the prize is $25,000 USD.
