Describe Your Event

The Busselton Jetty Swim is an iconic open water swimming event held over two days in February each year, featuring a 3.6km swim around Busselton’s beloved Jetty.

Now in its 29th year, the ‘Jetty Swim’ has become a renowned fixture on the Australian sporting calendar, attracting swimmers from around the globe.  While the inaugural event in 1996 had just 82 participants, 5,200 people are expected to take to the water in 2024.

The event offers a range of distances to suit every age and ability. If you’re not quite ready to swim the signature 3.6km event solo, you can grab your friends and swim it in a team of 2 or 4. There is also the One Mile Swim to Shore which involves jumping off the end of the Jetty and swimming 1.6km to the finish line, or you can take a detour and swim under the Jetty as part of Simon’s 500m Shortcut Swim. Plus, there is a dedicated Kids Swim.

And for those who prefer to stay dry, there’s plenty of entertainment and activities including the family friendly FREE Busselton Jetty Swim Sunset Concert.
