The Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean Swim will take place on the 19th of February 2023. Join us at Malabar Beach in either the 1km, 2.5km or 5km ocean swims. 2023 is the 15th anniversary of the Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean Swim and it will be the best ever.

The event offers a two-swim program, a 1km course perfect for beginners or a more challenging 2.5km for more experienced swimmers, and our 5km swim for those that want an extra challenge. Created by a committee headed by the late Olympic legend Murray Rose, the swim has won praise from the passionate ocean swim community and has continued to rise in popularity since its inception in 2008 and is now known as the most inclusive swim on the circuit.

The swim is a key fund-raising event for the Rainbow Club of Australia, a registered non-profit charity that provides swimming lessons for children with disabilities. Thanks to the good work of RCA, more than 1700 children across NSW and now in QLD, can take weekly swim lessons, and find their freedom and confidence in the water.
