Description
The Zamboanga Open Water Swim Circuit will be on Zamboanga Peninsula or Region 9 in the Philippines. This event is a collaboration between the Department of Tourism Region 9, Tourism Promotions Board, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 9, Municipal Local Government Units and Zamboanga Open Water Swimming Club.
The swim circuit aims to promote Zamboanga Peninsula as a premier destination for open water swimmers. This activity supports community-based sustainable tourism and women led social enterprises. Part of the proceeds will be directed towards habitat conservation efforts and management.
The swim circuit will be in the following sites:
- February 12, 2023: 11 islands , Zamboanga City
- March 19, 2023: Buluan Island, Zamboanga Sibugay
- April 16, 2023: Lake Maragang, Zamboanga del Sur
- May 14, 2023: Dakak Beach Resort, Zamboanga del Norte
