Vedika Bolliger Swims All Day And Night
Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California. Another marathon swim from the past has been discovered and added to the 24-hour Club historic list (see here): Vedika Bolliger of Switzerland swam across Lake Zürich both ways from Zürich to Rapperswil and back in 1997.
The 56 km solo swim took her a total of 29 hours 0 minutes when she swam 13 hours 30 minutes in one direction and followed it up with a 15-hour 25-minute swim on the way back.

Southern California native, born 1962, is the creator of the WOWSA Awards, Oceans Seven, Openwaterpedia, Citrus Corps, World Open Water Swimming Association, Daily News of Open Water Swimming, Global Open Water Swimming Conference.
