Ventura Deep Six Relay Update From The Pacific Ocean

Ventura Deep Six Relay Update From The Pacific Ocean

The Ventura Deep Six Relay is closing in on their goal in increasingly warm waters (66°F or 18.8°C). From a report on the high seas, “They all had great swims today, only 37.4 miles to La Jolla, covering many miles. They’re sore and tired, but continue to be in great spirits. Looking forward to the finish line. An airplane passed overhead and took some video [watch here].”

As the team has now doubled the old world record sometime during their 15th rotation of one-hour legs, 75 hours into their relay, they plan to finish on Monday, day 4 swimming down the West Coast of America.

The team may finish onshore between 12 – 4 pm tomorrow in La Jolla.
