Venus vs. Mars Around Manhattan Island
Former world champion and top-ranked pro marathon swimmer Erica Rose is coming out of retirement to take on two-time Manhattan Island Marathon Swim champion John van Wisse at this year’s Manhattan Island Marathon Swim on June 18th.The two personable marathon swimmers are humble ambassadors of the sport and they are similar in many ways.
Both train diligently, both get nervous both their swims, both are serious about their logistics and preparations, and both put their heads down and go for it once the gun goes off. The 28.5-mile race this year between these two should be an outstanding one.
