Vito Bialla Runs The Night Train In The Black

Vito Bialla, president of Night Train Swimmers and a veteran of the Vietnam War, is a modern-day Renaissance Man. Successful in the corporate arena, he also extends his interests to the endurance sports world and utilizes his talents and charisma to help raise money to help injured veterans.

His vision and energy often enables him to connect his myriad interests together.

On September 23rd we are embarking on a world record attempt that will take us down the California coast,” Bialla explained. “The Night Train Swimmers will start at the Golden Gate Bridge and end 7 days later at the harbor in Santa Barbara.” The rules: 6 swimmers will swim hour legs non-stop day and night without wetsuits, shark repellant or cages.

Cumulus will broadcast, support and advertise on the air the ambitious fund-raising swim. “Once we are halfway down the California coast, 36 runners will start running and duplicate the 400+ mile journey on land with the goal of a rendezvous in Santa Barbara.”

A kick-off black tie event will be held on September 7th at the Marine Memorial Club in San Francisco that will feature an auction with an America’s Cup ride, a 7-day Celebrity Cruise, Buster Posey’s signed jersey and private wine tour of Opus One.

Our goal is to raise US$500,000 for Semper Fi fund. Mike Thornton is our guest speaker and the most decorated Navy SEAL in history as well as a founding member of SEAL Team Six and a legend in all branches of the U.S. military. For more information, visit www.nighttrainswimmers.org.”
