Vito Bialla Runs The Night Train In The Black

His vision and energy often enables him to connect his myriad interests together.
“On September 23rd we are embarking on a world record attempt that will take us down the California coast,” Bialla explained. “The Night Train Swimmers will start at the Golden Gate Bridge and end 7 days later at the harbor in Santa Barbara.” The rules: 6 swimmers will swim hour legs non-stop day and night without wetsuits, shark repellant or cages.
Cumulus will broadcast, support and advertise on the air the ambitious fund-raising swim. “Once we are halfway down the California coast, 36 runners will start running and duplicate the 400+ mile journey on land with the goal of a rendezvous in Santa Barbara.”
A kick-off black tie event will be held on September 7th at the Marine Memorial Club in San Francisco that will feature an auction with an America’s Cup ride, a 7-day Celebrity Cruise, Buster Posey’s signed jersey and private wine tour of Opus One.
“Our goal is to raise US$500,000 for Semper Fi fund. Mike Thornton is our guest speaker and the most decorated Navy SEAL in history as well as a founding member of SEAL Team Six and a legend in all branches of the U.S. military. For more information, visit www.nighttrainswimmers.org.”
