What Is In It For Them?

Long-time USA Swimming Executive Director Chuck Wielgus talks here about how to obtain and nurture sponsorships in the swimming community. Wielgus, who has been guiding USA Swimming to unprecedented levels of growth over the last 17 years, describes the importance of attracting sponsorships by concretely demonstrating how the sponsors benefit. “Sponsorships are not contributions; they are business partnerships in which both sides gain positive things. It’s not just about what’s in it for us, but about what’s in it for them.”
