
When Open Water Swims Feel Like Going Uphill
Sometimes when swimmers are fighting against currents, eddies, oncoming winds, and waves in a channel, or faster swimmers in a marathon competition, or the cold conditions during ice swimming, their perseverance reminds me of the struggles of this little cub on its relentless efforts to climb the snowy hillside.
