Why Open Water?
Experienced open water swimmers and newcomers tell us why they do open water. In the Out of the Box video shown below, a 90-minute DVD on open water swimming produced by USA Swimming, Micha Burden (a cover model for Competitor Magazine) tells a little something about open water swimming. She is followed by other USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Team members, including Olympic coach Bill Rose of Mission Viejo Nadadores.
