The Atami Open Water Swim Race Japan Grand Prix is a series of 0.4 km, 0.8 km and 3.2 km open water swimming competitions and a 4-person 2 km relay race in Atami, Shizuoka within view of towering Mount Fuji, about 90 minutes south of Tokyo, in July The race is part of the Japan International Open Water Swimming Association ( JIOWSA ) series that is organized by Yutaka Shinozaki . JIOWSA is a 14-event open water swim series and open water swimming seminars, tours and conferences held throughout Japan. It is one of the World’s Top 100 Open Water Swims .
