The Rottnest Channel Swim is one of the world’s iconic ocean swims. The 19.7 km solo and relay marathon swim is held in Western Australia every February, starting at Cottesloe Beach on the Australian mainland and finishing at Thomson Bay on Rottnest Island. It is organized by the Rottnest Channel Swimming Association, the first organization honored by the Australian Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame.
