The Setúbal Bay International Swim Marathon is part of the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cupprofessional circuit and is one of the World’s Top 100 Open Water Swims.
It is held in Setúbal Bay, Portugal and consists of 4 loops of a 2.5 km triangle course where warmth and sunshine are expected along the Portuguese coast, located 40 kilometers south from Lisbon
The 10 km race is held in June in Setúbal bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the world with Serra da Arrábida on one side and Rio Sado magic waterfront on the other. The water temperature is between 18 – 19ºC with a water depth of between 3 – 25 meters. It offers US$20,000 in prize money and is very competitive race with elite professional marathon swimmers from around the world.
