Description

The Traversée internationale du lac Mégantic is a point-to-point professional marathon swimming competition and an amateur open water swimming event that is part of the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup pro circuit. The Traversée internationale du lac Mégantic starts at Piopolis’ municipal beach in lac Mégantic in Québec, Canada in August. Each swimmer must be accompanied by a qualified coach and must confirm their participation before 30 June 2012. It is organized by race director Kevin Laflamme. It is one of Canada’s Top Open Water Swims and one of the World’s Top 100 Open Water Swims.
