HUNTINGTON BEACH. There are four more days of voting until the 2011 WOWSA Awards are announced. The top five vote-getters in each category (World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year, World Open Water Swimming Woman of the Year and World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year) are below:

1. Petar Stoychev (Bulgaria) – World Professional Marathon Swimming Champion – 1,205 votes (19%)
2. Jamie Patrick (USA) – Adventure Swimmer – 1,070 votes (17%)
3. Salvatore Cimmino Cimmino (Italy) – Champion of the Disabled – 739 votes (12%)
4. Stephen Redmond (Ireland) – Courageous Channel Challenger – 636 votes (10%)
5. Bruckner Chase (USA) – Ocean Advocacy and Awareness Visionary – 569 votes (9%)

1. Pilar Geijo (Argentina) – World Professional Marathon Swimming Champion – 1,563 votes (22%)
2. Penny Palfrey (Australia) – Marathon Swimmer Extraordinaire – 1,162 votes (16%)
3. Ana Marcela Cunha (Brazil) – World Marathon Swimming Champion – 826 votes (12%)
