You Want This Man In Your Corner

Tim Murphy, the Ulen-Brooks Endowed Coach for Harvard University men’s Swimming and Diving and the 2012 USA Olympic Swim Team open water coach, discusses the new Endless Pool and he incorporates it into his team’s training and Olympic medal favorite Alex Meyer‘s rehabilitation.

While concerns were initially raised when Meyer crashed on his bicycle and broke his collarbone earlier this year, he received comprehensive care and has speedily recovered.

For the young man from Ithaca, New York who has constantly improved year-by-year and blossomed into a world champion in 2011, he remains clearly seen on the radar of those expected to compete for a podium finish in the Olympic 10km Marathon Swim on August 10th in the Serpentine.

With a world-class combination of speed, endurance and the all-out mental grit required to become an Olympic champion, Meyer’s potential is golden especially with his laser focus on training and preparation that has been endless.
