Zoot Suits Up The Swim The Costa Brava

Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California. Aida Molina of Culture Sport 365 announced that Zoot is a new sponsor for the Swim The Costa Brava circuit series. The opening race, Zoot Swim Games, will take place on April 26th in Montgat, Barcelona. It has a unique format that was used successfully in South Africa and Canada in various competitions. Zoot Swim Games features innovative competition format. This is the first qualifying race where each participant has to cover a distance of 300 meters in each round. Zoot Swim Games includes a qualifying round, semifinals and finals. The main feature of the event is a 200m outdoor saltwater swimming pool. Four swimmers will compete in each round. Only one swimmer moves on at each stage. Additionally, Zoot Swim Games will also hold a non-competitive 1.5 km open water swim on Montgat beach. “The race will be followed by a beach party succeeded by 2014 swimsuit catwalk. One drink is free for every participant and there also exists the possibility to have lunch at one of the restaurants on-premises,” says Molina. “If you cannot make it this year, the next opportunity is on May 25th at the 1.5 km and 4 km Palamos Swim race.” Additional information is here.
